Moved in July across the country, one of my boxes was lost during the move. The company made me file a claim with Anthem , which handles their claims. They made me submit an inventory with a list of items that were in the box with the prices and date they were purchased, which came to $500 with a change by the way. I did all that, submitted the claim and two months later Anthem comes back to say that according to your contract we will pay you 60 cents a pound and we estimate the weigh of your box as 70lb, so we will pay you $42!!! That's a cost of my toaster!! What about the rest of the items that were lost. Well, they tell me , go talk to the moving company itself, maybe they can do better than that. So I go back to the company, they tell me " let us see what we can do".... Two months go by , i call every week for an update and all i hear is " we are still working on it". So finally after 4 months of waiting they tell me, sorry, there's nothing we can do, take the $42 or leave it... Really??? Do you guys even care about your customers??? When it comes to taking our money it's upfront and God forbid you offer a check, it has to be cash only! When asked " did you even try to find my box", the answer is " yes, but we couldn't find it". How can that be??? Some other customer must have received it.. Did they keep my used stuff to themselves??? Is that what I'm supposed to assume???
We agreed on a reasonable price and I had them stop by my place to pick up the stuff. They ere very professional about how they did it and no objects were broken during transit. I would recommend this if you like fast service, reasonable rates, and friendly personnel.
Very unsatisfied with the entire ordeal, and given that I move a lot, i will not use WeMoveU again.
I'm not even saying that they gave me an estimated time frame ( a few days during which the truck will deliver my items), so without even giving me a heads up they show up at my new apartment one day, request $1000 in cash only, so i had to borrow it from my in laws since they never called me with an estimated TOA). Should i mention that my coffee table arrived a few hours after the rest of the stuff was delivered with"oops, forgot to unload that one"...Or the fact that they were in such a hurry to leave, that they wouldn't even give me enough time to count my boxes!
They are definitely not the cheapest moving company, but they charge very fairly. They really didn’t disappoint me. Their men were very efficient- from packing to loading! I was very glad to receive the delivery of all my belongings in perfect condition on the scheduled date. I really couldn’t have asked more. I think those few extra dollars really added value to this service.
They showed up on time. They quickly packed all my belongings and loaded them onto the van. I was astonished seeing how fast and thorough the movers were. The delivery was made on time as well. The whole move was done in such a systematic way. The movers were organized in every step of the way. I can vouch there is no better moving company in this field. We Move U are moving pros.
